Haul: Sephora

Allie, from Pocket of Perfection suggested the blinc mascara, and I had a gift card, so I filled up my shopping cart!

The Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara won an Emily Awards, and I am always willing to give new mascaras a try in an attempt to find the perfect one, so I got that and the bite crème lipstick was also a winner of Emily Awards, so I picked Palomino, a fun spring color, and decided to try it out. I can't wait to use these products!

Review: Mally Evercolor Poreless Face Defender

I've heard multiple positive reviews on this, including Caitlyn's Corner, so I bought it.

Here's the sponge it comes with:

After 5.5 hours of wearing my makeup...

After just seconds of applying Poreless Defender...

I'm so pale since it's winter, but you can see some shininess between my eyebrows, which is where I get the shiniest. However, after application I am left with flawless skin.

Here's what I look like after wearing the Poreless Defender for 8 hours...

Mally claims that her product will "improve the look of your skin" by making it appear poreless, mattified, and seamless. She also claims that it is a protectant for your skin and make up. Mally claims it will make your skin look younger and fresher. So the question is, does it come through on all of these claims? Well you can see that I have some shininess on my forehead after wearing the Poreless Defender for 8 hours, but I don't have that sludgy, moist feeling on my skin that I tend to get at the end of the day. It also looks shiny because of my lighting. I definitely think this makes a huge difference, but I can't really say until I've worn it in the hot summer. That'll be the true test. I will keep you posted! Thanks for reading! :)

So excited to try these out! The eyeliner is a staple, but the rest are products I have only heard good things about! Perfume samples are hit and miss for me, so we'll see how I like those!

Haul: Target

I got these feet accessories on sale a couple weeks ago and haven't had time to share!

I love fuzzy socks so much and wear mine like crazy during fall and winter because I hate when my feet are cold! It's the worst! Moccasins are also a staple shoe for this time of year because they are comfy and warm. I have 5 other pairs, but wear a lot of brown and tan during fall and winter, so I know I will get my money's worth out of them! As for the rain boots, I just thought they were cute! I hate gloomy weather, so I figured these will help make monsoon season more cheerful. Flip flops are what I wear daily during summer, and the bling makes it look less casual for occasions that I need to dress up a little more for than normal. Seriously, who doesn't love Target?!

FOTD: NAKED 3 Palette

IToday I got up at 5 and as soon as I got out of the shower I learned that my class had been canceled due to the weather, so instead of going back to bed I decided to create a look and blog about it! First, I moisturized my eye area with bareMineral's Purely Nourishing Moisturizer, then I mixed bareMineral's Skin Rev-er Upper and Olay's CC Cream in Fair to Light in my hand and applied to my entire face. I let that absorb while I curled my eyelashes and put a coat of Sephora's Full Action Mascara in Black on my lashes. Next, I applied my bareMinerals foundation in Fairly Medium using a kabuki brush. I then applied Benefit's Fake Up concealer under my eyes and on blemishes. My eyes looked especially tired, so I was grateful it got the job done! After that I applied Tarte's Amazonian Clay Bronzer in Park Avenue Princess all over my face. For blush I first used be a bombshell's The One Stick in Sunset using e.l.f.'s small stipple brush and then Tarte's blush in Dollface over that. For my eye look I first primed my entire eyelid using Urban Decay's Primer Potion and then pat Mugshot from my lashes up into my crease slightly. Next, I pat Factory in my outer one-third and into my crease. I then blended Nooner above that to my brow bone. For a highlight I used Strange. To brighten things up I pat Burnout on my eyelid just above my iris. I then used Ulta's Automatic Eyeliner in Black/Brown on my upper lid and then Black on my waterline. I then used Benefit's They're Real mascara and Buxom's mascara over that as well. I'm wearing Neutrogena MoistureShine gloss in Wine Wellness. Here's the look...

LOTD: LORAC Unzipped Palette

Quick and natural everyday look! First, LORAC primer, then Unattainable on my lids, Undercover from crease to brow and in tear duct, then Unreal over Undercover, and lastly I used Unbridled in my crease. For my lips I used Mary Kay's Satin Lips Lip Balm. Viola!

Empties

Here are my empties for the last month! The conditioner, leave-in conditioner, and the foot scrub have been in my life for a while and I love them. I will definitely repurchase them. The foot scrub was a graduation gift from 2011 and I have used it every so often since then. I don't know why I haven't used it more because it really does relieve my tired feet after a long 12 hour shift! The Benefit Total Moisture Hydra-Concentrated Facial Cream was a sample I got and just opened recently. It is not my favorite. The smell is a little too perfumey floral and it leaves my face greasy. Because of that, I have only been using it at night. It does hydrate my skin very well, but I feel that if I can't tolerate the smell and can't use it day and night, then it's not worth re-purchasing. So there you have it! Thanks for reading! Happy February! :)
